Demographics

Summit County Colorado was one of the original 17 counties in Colorado when the first Territorial Legislature declared it a county in 1861.  Of course, now the same original county has six counties and Summit County is what it is today; A beautful county named after its tall peaks.  Spanning 619 square miles, Summit County is 98% land and 2% water but the water sits directly in the middle of the county and makes the Dillon Resevoir the center piece to majestic mountains that form in all directions.

Filled with things to do, Summit County offers exciting activities to participate in during all seasons of the year.  Just a few of the things you could find yourself doing in the winter include skiing, ice skating and snow shoeing to summer activities like hiking, swimming and boating plus literally so much more.  If you enjoy the mountains and the great outdoors and Summit County isn't on your radar, come visit us, and you will see why so many call this place the most spectacular place to live in Colorado.
